What is Sai Shaktipat? Shaktipat is a sacred transmission of energy from master to student. It can be done through touch, a glance, sound, or thought. The significance of Sai Shaktipat is that it is given directly by a Sai, the highest manifestation of the Divine. In this process Sri Swami Sai Krsna shares the Pancha Shaktis - five Great Energies or Powers which help to combat the pancha kleshas, the five afflictions of the soul. These Pancha Shaktis are: Gnana Shakti - The Power of Knowledge Iccha Shakti - The Power of Will and Desire Kriya Shakti - The Power of Action Ananda Shakti - The Power of Bliss Chit Shakti - The power of Consciousness Typically a transmission of this intensity and depth is not possible to do on a world-wide scale, even for a master. Glimpses from Darshan in Hyderabad, Jan 3-9th 2026. Close to 250 meditators and devotees came to see Swami to be in the presence of a Living Master and receive his blessings. Throughout the week they were taken through spontaneous processes and received initiation into powerful meditative practices, with many experiencing profound states of stillness and consciousness. The event culminated on January 8th with the extremely powerful Sai Shaktipat initiation, a process uniquely offered by Sri Swami Sai Krsna to provide one with the Pancha Shaktis, which create lasting peace, happiness, and remove the obstacles to self-realization. Sri Guru Mahavatar Babaji, also known as Sri Guru or simply Babaji, is known to have remained in his body for almost 2000 years, with his birthday being November 30, 203 AD. He is known to many within the Siva Yoga tradition but became more widely recognized to the public through his appearance in Paramansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi. He is known as the "Guru of Guru's", and has guided many divine personages to the ultimate truth so that they may spread the teachings of unity and self liberation throughout the world. Sri Swami Sai Krsna is one of his closest disciples, and one of only two who are currently known to the public eye. Swami and Sri Guru have played this role of Guru and Shishya many times in many lifetimes throughout the ages. Swami Sri Guru Brahmananda Nirvananath, Sri Swami Sai Krsna but simply called, “Swami”, is a direct disciple of Sri Guru Mahavatar Babaji and part of the Shiva Yoga Sampradaya (Tradition). Sri Mahavatar Babaji physically appeared to Swami’s mother once before his birth and once after telling her on both occasions, “Empty yourself of all that you ever knew.” When he was two years of age his Guru first appeared to Swami and told him his father would pass away when he was five and three years later on November 30, 2001, he came back and began Swami’s training. In Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahamsa Yogananda he states, “Sri Mahavatar Babaji is ever in communion with Christ; together they send on vibrations of redemption and have planned the spiritual technique of salvation for this age.” This technique is Kshama Kriya or the Action of Forgiving with Awareness for the sake of the Awareness of your True Self. Swami’s path is Advaita Kshama Marga and he is the one they have chosen to initiate the world into this holy practice that leads to Self-Realization, undisturbed peace and unbroken happiness. Along with the initiation into Kshama Kriya, Swami has been implored by his Guru to offer Darshan, Discourse, and initiate seekers and aspirants into Shaktipat or a “Transmission of Grace” which includes transmitting the Panchashakti’s or five powers (Chit, Ananda, Jnana, Iccha, and Kriya) and Mahavatar Mudra, the spontaneous initiation into breath awareness, conscious awareness, and conscious breathing without any formal instruction of these three. “Advaita Kshama is the way.
